Mardi Gras Mess

What do you get when you mix 25 million pounds of trash and an 1 inch of rain? One big mess! This lovely combination describes the soon-to-be aftermath of this weekend’s Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans.

Will you be among the revelers? If so, plan on packing your raincoat for Saturday. Our meteorologists are estimating .98 inches of rain for the New Orleans area with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 60s. If you plan on celebrating elsewhere, check out the maps below. The Northwest and Deep South can expect heavy rain throughout the weekend while parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Rocky mountains will see moderate to heavy snow. The rest of the country will remain dry.
