While Texas went all out with the drought conditions last year, this year Texas is going all out with the rain. Southern and western Texas was slow to get in on the rainy weather, but has jumped in with both feet as of late. While the drought has not officially ended for southern and western Texas, there has been more than enough rain in the last few days. The wet weather will continue Thursday and Friday, with some locally heavy rain. One- to two-inch rainfall will be common, with localized 2- to 3-inch rainfall Thursday into Friday. There will also be a threat of severe weather.
